We are a new franchisee of this exciting brand and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director to spear head our development agreement (20 locations in the next 10 years) and oversee our operations across multiple locations across the Southeastern USA. The Regional Director will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a team of General Managers and their managers to achieve strategic objectives.
DUTIES
- Immediately, duties will be to undergo six weeks of training. Five weeks at the corporate locations for Slim Chickens in Northwest Arkansas. One week at a new restaurant opening T.B.D.
- Next, support the grand opening of our first location opening this summer (Warner Robins, GA) by working alongside the General Manager and their team day in and day out to ensure a top-notch experience for our Guests and employees. You will be pulling shifts and be on the management schedule supporting the General Manager, management team and crew.
- Once our 2nd location has been identified and construction is underway, you will oversee recruitment, hiring and training for the next location.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Regional Director is responsible for overall restaurant performance within an assigned area, generally 4 - 12 restaurants depending on various factors. The Regional Director leads all area restaurant operations, local marketing initiatives, recruits, develops and coaches restaurant managers, builds sales and profit while maintaining high operating standards. They are also accountable for the success of the area by following Slim Chickens guidelines, policies and procedures
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide guidance and leadership in the delivery of outstanding guest experience, culinary operations, labor scheduling, inventory management, restaurant marketing and restaurant P&L
· Plan, identify, communicate and delegate responsibilities throughout the area to ensure excellent operations are consistently achieved
· Lead the area in the implementation of company initiatives by working with the Support Team on action plans and timelines
· Generate area sales growth by developing strategic short and long term marketing plans, ensuring the restaurants consistently deliver a positive guest experience, and executing local restaurant marketing initiatives
· Constantly review area operations and related reports to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
· Manage the area P&L by tracking expenses vs. annual budget, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action
· Ensure the area follows Slim Chickens’ operational policies and procedures
· Develop area succession plan by evaluating open opportunities, assessing internal talent and leading recruiting efforts
· Provide coaching and feedback to restaurant managers and assess performance on an ongoing basis.
· Partner with General Managers to set personal development goals in order to build their skills and abilities for career progression.
· Lead a positive team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and restaurant accomplishments
· Challenges and inspires management team to achieve business results
· Coach General Managers in team member recruiting, development, performance management, and retention in order to ensure the restaurant is properly staffed, turnover goals are met and succession planning is in place
· Lead the area with integrity and knowledge that promotes the culture of Slim Chickens
· Lead area succession planning by identifying talent internally and externally and developing that talent into restaurant leaders
Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Slim Chickens’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, Safety); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Presents information to small or large groups. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work side to another. Lifting, raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. Subject to both environmental conditions, activities occur inside and outside.
Travel: Extensive travel and extended work hours may be required. Travels to and from multiple restaurants, work-sites or offices, requiring overnight stays.
REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor General Managers
· Must have experience in delegation, holding others accountable, business planning and communicating across a dispersed group of managers
· Demonstrated expertise in hiring, staffing, on boarding, and training is required
· Strong delegation experience including; holding others accountable, business planning and communicating across a dispersed group of managers
· Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
· Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills
· Demonstrated management of all applicable restaurant regulatory areas, to include: employee safety, food safety, HAACP, wage & hour, etc.
· Ability to exercise independent judgment
Technical Experience: Microsoft Office Suite, ability to quickly learn and understand various systems throughout a variety of restaurants.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of prior restaurant experience including strong single-unit performance and some experience leading/managing multi-unit initiatives
Minimum Education: Bachelor degree, or four years of business management, hospitality, related field
