The staff accountant is responsible for managing accounts payable and helping management prepare payroll bi-weekly. The job duties of the staff accountant include reconciling bank and credit card accounts, calculating piecework payroll, and paying sales and payroll taxes. A strong understanding of general accounting principles will be helpful for this position, as well as experience with payroll, accounts payable, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and taxes.

o Calculate piecework
o Enter paycheck information into QuickBooks
o Responsible for payroll tax payments
o Prepare payroll tax documents quarterly and annually
o Provide copies of check stubs for employees
· Accounts payable
o Bi-weekly accounts payable report
o Input all invoices into QuickBooks
o Responsible for all vender payments
o Keep track of all packing slips for multiple vendors
o Track purchase orders, issue prepayments, and track item receipts for multiple vendors
o Confirm that all packing slips match invoices
· Industry shows
o Enter all show sales into QuickBooks
o Arrange transport of show goods to show locations
o Arrange payment for show booths, electricity, and on-site help
o Enter show sales into QuickBooks
· Miscellaneous
o Monitor email and respond to venders’ questions
o Monitor loan repayment
o Reconcile seven bank statements and two credit cards monthly
o Monitor credit card balances and arrange payments
o Sort mail and answer phones
o Close older purchase orders and monitor inventory for new purchase orders
o Prepare monthly sales tax report and pay state sales tax
o Monitor toll tag account and arrange payments
o Arrange bank deposits for bank accounts and monitor for low funds
