Wollman Gehrke & Associates, P.A. is looking for an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our positive and teamwork-oriented group. Our clientele is growing rapidly which means we need to add to our team! Experienced candidates are considered however the absolute right apprentice paralegal will be considered as well.
Essential requirements and key accountabilities include:
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and others professionally.
- Schedule, coordinate materials and prepare attorneys for client meetings as they designate their preferred style.
- Assist with trust administrations and probates.
- Assist with bookkeeping, asset spreadsheets and filing financial institution forms.
- Manage court filings and communicate with court, recorders and other offices needed to ensure updated information and timely handling of all matters.
- Draft client and 3rd party correspondence as needed.
- Perform basic and middle level legal research.
- Maintain client files.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years minimum experience in a related field.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Strong computer skills MS Office.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and appropriately with individuals of all types and interests, from clients to co-workers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail a must.
- Problem solving, documentation, research & resolution, and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as guidelines, operating and procedure instructions, and legal requirements.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization typically exists but at times may not.
Education/Experience:
- Paralegal Certification (Preferred)
- Experience with case software and the ability to master the software utilized by the firm
- Notary Public Certification
