Responsibilities:
Legal Entity Accounting:
- Ensure investment legal entities are accounted for in accordance with governing legal and tax documents.
- Review and analyze deal structure charts, translating information into fund flow schedules and deal-structure setup in accounting systems of record.
- Collaborate with legal and tax teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other industry standards.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
Tax Compliance:
- Work closely with tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and adjust accounting practices accordingly.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures.
Fund Accounting:
- Familiarity with fund accounting principles and practices.
- Collaborate with fund administrators to reconcile investment transactions and valuations.
- Ensure accurate recording of investment income, expenses, and capital activity.
Private Equity and Investment Experience:
- Prior experience in private equity fund accounting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of various investment strategies and financial instruments.
- Ability to analyze complex investment structures.
Asset Management and Hedge Funds:
- Strong understanding of asset management operations.
- Experience working with hedge funds and related investment vehicles.
- Knowledge of performance measurement and attribution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, and financial reporting.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Asset Management / Hedge Fund experience is preferred
- Private Equity fund and strategies/investments experience is preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
