Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mailroom Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, sorting, and distributing mail and packages efficiently within our organization.
Duties:
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Sort mail by department, location, or category
- Operate office equipment such as postage meters and copiers
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking purposes
- Organize and file documents appropriately
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a mailroom or similar environment preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse or distribution center operations
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting
- Proficiency in using RF scanners for inventory management
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience with loading and unloading shipments is a plus
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Forklift certification is advantageous
