We are looking for a professional, experienced receptionist/veterinary assistant and occasional kennel attendant in the New Port Richey area. Qualified candidates should have a passion for high standards of patient care, excel in communication/client service skills and be motivated to work in a team-oriented environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILIITES:
Able to handle face-paced work environment,
Answer multi-line phone calls,
Cordially greet arriving clients and patients,
Maintain professional appearance,
Maintain friendly demeanor while on the job,
Assist other employees/departments as needed,
Be familiar with species and common breeds,
Understand life cycle and pathology of common parasites and know the names of most common preventatives and recommended treatments,
Be knowledgeable about zoonotic diseases,
Have physical strength and ability to stand for an entire shift when needed and be able to lift pets and objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance,
Schedule appointments for exams, surgeries, progress exams, medical procedures, boarding and grooming,
Perform daily callbacks to clients,
Pull patient charts for appointments and file,
Properly enter charges from travel sheets into computer,
Process invoices and payments,
Generate end-of-day reports and balance totals,
Reconcile office inventory daily,
Assist veterinarian or technicians in exam room and in kennel when needed.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
