MSA Primary Care is an independently owned Family Practice in Newark Ohio. We are seeking diligent, dependable, and hardworking Certified Medical Assistants to join our team! The ideal Certified Medical Assistant would be, dedicated, compassionate, have good work ethic, and have excellent customer service skills. This Certified Medical Assistant will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while still providing personalized and quality care to patients. This Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for managing multiple projects and interacting with patients and staff members throughout appointments.

Job Function and Duties:
- Bringing patients to rooms, taking vitals and chief complaints.
- Entering patients information in EHR system.
- Review and verify patient medications and history
- Assisting with procedures, dressing of wounds, cleaning instruments and various cleaning
- Calling patients or sending letters regarding patient's studies/labs in a timely matter
- Providing tests and referrals
- E-scribing to pharmacies and/or generating paper prescriptions as ordered by physicians
- Running various tests such as: urinalysis, A1C's, strep test, flu tests, pregnancy tests, EKG's, spirometry testing, injections, monofilament tests, and finger stick glucose testing
- Completing screenings as indicated by health needs (cognitive, depression, anxiety, TUG, SBIRT, and A1C
- Maintaining prescription line and follow up on pharmacy calls if needed and monitor and maintain auto-refills sent electronically by pharmacies
- Comply with HIPAA regulations
- Must display teamwork, work well with fellow team members and help others when needed
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Must be able to work well in a fast paced environment
