About the Role
- As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities and customer targets; building high, wide, and deep customer connections; selling Rensa value; managing projects from start to finish; and ultimately contributing to the closing of new profitable business driving growth for Rensa’s Engineered Filtration Products Business Unit. This role will actively prospect new business opportunities within existing and new markets. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing and work closely with Engineering, Operation, and Supply Chain. This role can be located anywhere in the US with access to an airport.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities within the air filtration industry.
- Build a pipeline of opportunities and convert to wins.
- Hunting for new enterprise accounts.
- CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Utilize CRM software to manage client interactions, track progress, and ensure effective follow-ups.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new leads, prospects, and clients through targeted outreach, industry events, and partnerships.
- Develop cross-functional relationships to execute projects.
- Build strong relationships to drive strategic growth aligned with Rensa’s account management structure.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to generate new leads and gain market insights.
- Partner with marketing and R&D to ensure sales collateral is tailored for the market and perform insight-rich customer presentations.
- Develop market-led insights to validate value propositions of the innovation pipeline.
- Actively participates in technical seminars, trade shows, speaking engagements, and other events to promote our brand and cultivate relationships.
- Manage P&L reports to ensure profitability.
- Approximately 25-35% travel.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related field.
- Filtration Industry knowledge.
- 5 years’+ experience in Business Development.
- Experience selling to OEMs.
- Strong ability to hunt for new leads, navigating complex organizations.
- Experience converting technical project wins with key accounts.
- Strong ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in a matrix structure.
- Commercially driven with an aptitude and track record for delivering business growth.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and curious mindset to solve problems.
- Ability to develop a strategy to achieve sales budget and deliver growth.
- Proven track record for exceeding revenue targets.
- Highly effective at identifying, communicating, and driving revenue while ensuring commercial terms, supply agreements, NDAs, etc., are active and completed.
- Ability to focus on critical projects with high-level of adaptability to client and industry trends.
- Experience with managing product lifecycles from onboarding to delivery.
