Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment laws and regulations to determine merits of a case and legal strategies
- Take and defend depositions
- Represent clients in different aspects of employment-related litigation cases
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Assist in opposing Motions for Summary Judgment
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations
- Provide Assistance in preparing a case for trial - even participating and/or doing the trials yourself with our trial team.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar of California
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing employment law
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience conducting legal research using Westlaw
- Ability to litigate cases in court and negotiate settlements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and communicating with clients
Skills:
- Legal research: Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using Westlaw, and other legal databases.
- Legal drafting: Skilled in drafting various legal documents such as motions to compel, opposition to MSJ and other pleadings, and motions.
- Litigation: Experienced in representing clients in employment-related litigation cases, including preparing for trial, conducting depositions, and presenting arguments in court.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients' interests and reach favorable settlements.
- Writing: Excellent writing skills to prepare clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.

Large firm experience is good, and employment defense experience is also good. Looking for a lawyer w/ 3-20+ yr experience. Trial experience is a plus, but not necessary.
This is a Full-time position in-person position. However, Part-time or hybrid preference can also apply if you have employment law experience.
