Position Summary:
FSP is looking for a skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our growing US HR Team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will handle the daily core functions of the US HR department including but not limited to detailed on/offboarding processes and benefits administration in compliance with applicable laws and policies. Fire Safety and Protection LLC offers a dynamic environment and requires someone who adapts easily to change. The ideal individual will have had experience assimilating acquired companies into the corporate vision, while respecting and appreciating all employees involved.
Duties / Responsibilities
Employee On/Offboarding/Position Changes: Perform detailed employee onboarding, offboarding, and position change activities in accordance with company policies and procedures, including the following:

scheduling and conducting new hire orientations;

scheduling exit interviews;

setting up and updating employee records;

coordinating background checks and drug screens;
Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leaves of absence, including the following:

communicating with employees about their benefits;

assisting with enrollment and problem resolution;
-
acting as a liaison between FSP and external benefits providers and vendors;
- collecting and maintaining data and information required for benefits administration and carrier quotes;
- assist with HR and benefits audits.

Performance Appraisals: Assist the HR Director with facilitating the performance appraisal process.
HR Administration: Handle confidential HR-related documentation and maintain accurate employee records in compliance with legal requirements. This involves working within HR systems and ensuring data is up to date and accurate.
Employee Support: Address employee questions and/or concerns relative to policies, benefits, HR processes, etc. Assist with handling employee relations issues by investigating complaints, providing counseling to employees, and recommending solutions to resolve conflicts.
Training: Assist with the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Reporting: Compile, organize, and analyze data to assist the HR Director in tracking and reporting on HR metrics.
Continuous Improvement and Development:
- ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies by staying up to date on HR regulations and helping to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

Perform other duties typically associated with the role of HR Generalist.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to successfully multitask between competing priorities and deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Proven organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience in importing and exporting data in HRIS systems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Experience working in HRIS and ERP systems. Knowledge of PayChex and/or Vista a plus.

Ability and comfort in navigating websites and vendor portals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Occasional travel < 10%

Experience with recruiting and payroll a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:
