Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure that food is cooked properly and at appropriate temperatures
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the Dietary Department to ensure that meals meet specific dietary requirements
- Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation schedules
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and culinary terminology
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
Note: This position must be paid, including internship positions.
