Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts according to specifications. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of parts.
- Program machines using CAD/CAM software, edit programs as needed.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or programs as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools and G&M code.
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines and editing programs.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in machining processes.
- Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
