Lake County Veterinary Clinics is a busy small animal practice serving Two Harbors, Duluth, Grand Marais and surrounding areas. Our staff works in a team setting and good communication skills are necessary. At our Two Harbors location, we are open 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and have a well equipped clinic which includes an in-house lab, radiology, digital dental radiology, and surgical suite. Our Grand Marais clinic is open 10am-3pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and offers an in-house lab and minimal surgical capabilities. We are a progressive, compassionate clinic looking to expand.
We are looking for a Dental Veterinary Technician or Assistant; training provided. Job description includes: dental cleanings, dental procedures (assisting with extractions, dental surgeries and endodontics), dental xrays; client communication and education, assisting in animal restraint, phlebotomy, lab work, xrays and surgical assistance. The applicant needs to have strong communication and organizational skills, be responsible and dependable, and willing to be flexible in a hospital, and sometimes emergency, setting. Applicant must be capable of lifting patients over 50 pounds (with assistance) and be comfortable working with dogs and cats of various size, breed, age and health condition. Applicant needs to be independently responsible but also work great with a team.
We are looking to fill this position in our Two Harbors clinic. 4-day work week! Pay scale will be based on experience, accreditation and amount of work hours agreed upon. Experience preferred, but not necessarily required; training provided. This is a full time position.
