About us
We are looking for a group facilitator with experience in mental health and/or SUD. The group facilitator is responsible for the complete care and well-being of the clients while they are receiving services at the facility. The successful candidate will run groups on recovery and life skills while maintaining open lines of communication with staff, attending clinicians and physicians, clients, and families.
Schedule
- Part-Time: 5pm - 9pm (PST)
- Monday-Friday, Saturdays when needed
Compensation: $22 – 24; Based on Experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead group counseling sessions
- Discuss effective coping skills and help clients with identifying reasons for addictions and related problems
- Contact clients to ensure they are joining daily groups
- Provide a friendly customer experience for the client
- Attends administrative meetings via Zoom
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Additional duties as required
Requirements:
- Computer, webcam, and high-speed internet to perform the required job duties
- RAD-T, SUDRC, or CATC from CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP preferred OR willing to get registered with a DHCS approved SUD counselor organization within 14 days (Obtained during onboarding or before).
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related field(s) Preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Hardworking and Reliable
- Has the ability to listen actively when spoken to and effectively communicate their thoughts to others
- Is sensitive to religious, ethnic and cultural differences in others and show respect and empathy.
- Is able to work alone, but also as a team with fellow staff in the business setting and actively seek out advice and/or guidance in order to solve problems
- Good time management skills and actively seek to accomplish tasks and be able to use a variety of methods and ideas to solve problems; whilst also being open to suggestions from others to find solutions
Pre-Employment Requirements
Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.
