The Intake Coordinator position serves as the first point of contact for new client referrals to our organization. This role partners with clinical staff to ensure the intake process is coordinated efficiently to ensure timeliness of care for new clients.
The Intake Coordinator responsibilities include:
- Maintain a client-centered focus and strives to support the mission and goals of the organization by ensuring new client care needs are met through appropriate services.
- Entering and verifying client information into the EMR upon receipt of new client referrals
- Performs initial insurance screening and pre-authorizations, as needed
- Works closely with clinical staff to plan and prepare for all admissions
- Communicates on an ongoing basis with all referral sources, families, clients and team members to coordinate care
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to work effectively in a team focused environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in a health care environment is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of case management or care coordination is preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
