Specialty medical office is seeking a full-time Medical Office Coordinator willing to take on full administrative support for our Juneau office as well as to work remotely as part of front office team for other locations. This individual will be a crucial link between our clinical staff and other departments to ensure excellent patient care is delivered. Ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail and organization skills, ability to multitask, enjoy customer service and be willing to learn and grow.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Answer multi-line phone in a positive, polite and professional manner
- Process incoming faxes, including referrals, clinical updates and requests for medical records
- Schedule patients for consultations, sleep studies, DME services and follow up appointments according to care plan
- Confirm upcoming patient appointments, ensure patient instructions are provided and required documentation is completed
- Check patients in/out, assist walk-ins
- Dispense home sleep testing equipment and educate patients on equipment use. Clean equipment after each use
- Dispense durable medical equipment, corresponding supplies and accessories and complete relevant documentation
- Collect and record patient payments with accuracy
- Review and print reports/clinical notes, send clinical update to referring providers.
- Maintain orderly and clean the office space, prepare patient areas and bedrooms, manage office supplies inventory
- Make travel arrangements for clinical staff and coordinate patient schedules
- Provide a positive customer service experience when interacting with external and internal parties
- Complete data entry in relevant systems
- Perform routine clerical tasks, including retrieving charts, clearing voicemail and fax messages
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative support role, medical office experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with medical and insurance terminology, appointment scheduling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, Internet, use and troubleshooting office equipment
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm (40 hours per week)
Compensation: DOE

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
