Job Description
Summary/Objective: The main role of the Production Worker is to be the first step in Quality, to ensure that trays coming off the line are being produced with the highest quality standards in mind. Requires work in a manufacturing environment, so will be loud.
Essential Functions
Ensure your work area is clean throughout your entire shift and for the shift coming in (15-minute clean-up upon shift completion)
Completing sanitation and deep clean of work area, up to and including; machine components, padding area, stacker, quality table and surrounding areas in work station
Continuous quality inspection of finished goods to ensure product meets customer satisfaction
Ensure proper stack counts
Responsible for removing rewind and placing either on the pallet at the end of the line or directly in the bailer. Ensure that all trays laying in the black bins under the rewind are stacked and taken to rework with proper labeling
Ensure all pallets are regulation size (40 x 48) and that they are all in tact and free of debris and contamination
Responsible for removal of defective trays
Ability to use non-motorized industrial equipment, training will be provided if necessary
Use of PPE: safety glass, hair and beard nets and gloves
Inspection of pallets to ensure proper labeling is occurring
Removal of finished product and ensure pallet is completed for warehousing
Daily completion of operators report and any other necessary paperwork
Ensure you are notifying both HR and your shift lead in the event of a call-off

Work Environment
The performance of this position requires exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level of the work environment and the job site can be loud.
Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continuously during working hours; is subject to lifting over 30 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; the hours will vary based on your scheduled shift; minimum 40-hours per week.
