The Montessori School of Dayton (MSD) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with students in our primary program for the 2024-25 school year. MSD is a private non-profit Montessori school devoted to following the Montessori philosophy and strives to create independent, resilient individuals who value integrity, community, and peace.
As a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the communication and language development of students in our primary classrooms, ensuring each child has the opportunity to thrive. This position has a dedicated space in the building to work one-on-one with students.
Qualities of a Successful Candidate:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state license to practice as a language pathologist
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children and adults
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Instruction, Assessment, and Evaluation:
- Assesses, screens, and evaluates students, sharing results with parents and educational staff.
- Analyzes data to assess, monitor, and inform instruction for student growth.=
- Provides relevant instruction based on IEP and best practices, demonstrating knowledge of child growth and individual student needs.
- Offers consultative services for school staff, facilitating interventions and techniques for targeted students.
