Job Summary:
Just Cats Veterinary Services is a feline only clinic practicing leading edge veterinary care in order to provide improved quality of life to our patients and happiness to their "parents." Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or related medical field preferred, but not required.
We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and address client inquiries and concerns, or direct them to the appropriate staff - member
- Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Assist with filing and organizing paperwork
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Provide support to veterinary staff as needed
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and issuing invoices
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with cat handling techniques is beneficial
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for appointment scheduling and record keeping
