This is a small family practice clinic, open M-Th, off every Friday!
· Escorts patients to and from exam and procedure rooms.
· Assists providers in procedures as required.
· Maintains patient records.
· Prepares new patient charts in EMR.
· Phlebotomy / Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and log them before leaving the office
· Perform basic CLIA waved laboratory tests
· Schedule patient appointments
· Prepare/administer oral/intramuscular medications and immunizations
· Medication prior authorizations
· Medication refill requests
· Respond to patient phone calls
· Submit physician orders
· Disposes of biohazard material.
· Communicates with other doctors’ offices regarding medical records, reports and faxes.
· Ensures timely processing of prescription refills, per Physician approval.
· Maintains exam and procedure rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
· Provides friendly and effective phone communication with patients.
· Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
· Maintains a smooth flow of communication between patients, providers, and other clinic staff to manage efficiency and patient flow and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
· Respectfully takes direction from Physician and Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
