Tipping Point (TP) is seeking a contractor to fill our Cultural Research Assistant (9 month) position to support the Project Manager in researching and compiling information to develop engaging and comprehensive foreign culture orientation training products for up to 30 foreign countries as part of a Department of Defense contract.

Essential Contractor Functions:
- Apply basic research methodology to find relevant cultural content for up to 30 countries.
- Locate and select appropriate open-source images related to the learning objective, people, and country.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of culture related themes and topics.
- Synthesize large amounts of information into narrative format relevant to the target audience.
Location:
As this is a contract remote position, candidates may reside anywhere within the United States where reliable internet connectivity is available.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience using an academic approach towards research.
- Firm understanding of primary and secondary resources with the ability to verify content accuracy and credibility.
- High proficiency with APA 7th Edition.
- Strong written communication skills to support the conversion of research data into readable, easy-to-understand content tailored to a specific audience.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment where priorities and deadlines may change rapidly.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and oversight.
Desired Experience:
- Associate degree or higher in Cultural Studies or related field
- Prior experience working as a research assistant on a Cultural project/program
- Understanding or background with the US Navy
- Prior DoD contract experience in the development of training, learning, and/or educational services or products is a plus
