Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, assistance with tax preparation, management of insurance and regulatory reporting, oversee payroll, and complete job setup. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information, providing accurate and timely financial analyses, and supporting decision-making processes within the company.
Job Duties:
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management (AP/AR), as well as profit share. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external accountants to provide necessary information for tax filings. Stay up-to-date with tax laws and ensure compliance at all times.
- Insurance and Regulatory Reporting: Manage insurance renewals, including Workers Comp and General Liability. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for various permits and licenses.
- Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll processes, including managing benefits and 401k, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Job and Asset Management: Coordinate job setup processes, including contract management and billing. Manage company assets, including vehicles and equipment, general ledger tracking and registrations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in leading and managing a team, and the ability to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and payroll processing, as well as all other job duties.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively. Ability to handle competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with construction-specific accounting software and systems is a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or at least 5 years in a Controller or equivalent position.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, preferably in construction.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
