Job Title: Warehouse Lead
Location: 400 N Hwy 377, Roanoke, TX 76262
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Position Summary: The Warehouse Lead will be a full-time lead/laborer position. This position will supervise and lead an assigned team through the daily activities in the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and efficient completion of work. This position must be cross trained in all yard positions - bagged goods, steel, truck loading, sandblasting, and painting. This position must enforce safety rules on the yard - safety glasses, seatbelts, etc.

Description of responsibilities:
- Leads team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklifts.
- Operate forklift to move a variety of materials (angle iron, mortar, concrete, sand bags, etc.)
- Pick, wrap and stage orders to be shipped.
- Assist in reviewing pick tickets based on customer orders and then pulling the right products for each order.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Paint using a spray gun.
- Cut steel with a shear and cutting torch.
- Inspects quality and quantity of supplies and equipment delivered to the team.
- Verifies that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
- Keeps team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
- Maintains detailed and accurate work records.
- Collaborates with the team to identify ways to improve department effectiveness; implements viable ideas.
- Resolves conflicts that arise among team members and/or other employees.
- Perform inventory counts when needed.
- Conduct safety inspections when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required experience and skills:
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
- Must be able to demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
- Must be able to move and lift 100-pound bags of cement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate the team to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to solve conflicts among coworkers.
- Ability to remain organized.
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Excellent work ethic and time management skills.
