P/T Account Operations Coordinator – West Virginia & Eastern Ohio
Designer Greetings, a family-owned business with over 41 years’ experience and one of the largest greeting card publishers in North America, currently seeks a Part Time Account Operations Coordinator
Summary:
This position will require in-store visits once every 2-6 weeks per store. In-store visits will increase during 6 weeks prior to all seasons, and this will vary based on need, average 15-20 hours except during holidays. You will also be responsible for developing strong relationships and interacting regularly with store personnel and store managers. Position requires solid organizational and administrative skills and be a strong team leader.
Position requires one reside in Huntington, Charleston areas of West Virginia. Position reports to Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all in-store visits.
- Check in with store manager to be sure department is running smoothly.
- Check for stock control issues and handle accordingly and maintain control operating effectively by keeping the stock fresh and timely in order to build pocket turns.
- Handle refreshment credits as necessary.
- Ensure seasonal Planogram’s are set in order to maximize seasonal sales.
- Ensure all seasonal titles are on hand and/or need to be ordered based on what’s selling during the seasons.
- Ensure all seasonal signage is complete and on display.
- Ensure all seasonal cards are inventoried using the scanner and packed away or returned for credit depending on the account.
- Utilize Operations manual to train merchandisers on all aspects of managing department including but not limited to use of hand-held scanners.
- Utilize slow pocket report to keep product fresh at its peak.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in greeting card or gift industry
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Able to speak, read and understand English
- Have reliable transportation
- Able to operate hand-held technology provided
- Have access to internet and email
- Proficiency in Excel
- Willing to travel and work a flexible schedule, including possibly the day before and after major holidays.
- The ideal candidate must be organized, detail oriented and a quick learner who can work as part of a team and be an effective leader. You must be willing to work a varied work schedule.
This is a physically demanding job that can require high level of labor and energy. The physical environment may include work in back stockroom with limited lighting and less than ideal conditions.
Physical requirements:
- Able to frequently stand for prolonged period of time
- Able to regularly bend, squat, kneel and reach overhead
- Able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Salary rate will be $14.00-15.00/ per hour depending on experience.
Mileage is reimbursed based on federal guidelines.
