Forget what you think about fast food. We are a 100% from scratch, family-owned fast casual restaurant that is currently looking for an Executive Chef to run our operations in Tuscaloosa. The Executive Chef will be responsible for all aspects of operations including overseeing team members, scheduling, maintaining store budget, maintaining inventory and ensuring all staff are following appropriate food quality and service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors and improves customer service, product, quality, and cleanliness ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Provides direction, coaching, training and development for assistant managers and all team members including food quality, service standards, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures that store is in compliance with all governmental, Company, or system standards, policies, and regulations.
- Selects and develops high caliber restaurant management. Provides necessary supervision and coaching of restaurant managers.
- Conducts regular management meetings and other employee meetings as needed.
- Meets and exceeds sales and profit plans.
- Perform P&L analysis and review with store management teams to ensure maximum profitability.
- Helps create an Annual Budget for store.
- Makes short- and long-term plans to achieve Company goals.
- Safeguards Company assets: customers, employees, reputation, image, building, equipment, etc.
- Oversees staff schedules, effectively maintaining staffing levels, labor goals and guest satisfaction.
- Oversees inventory procedures and can coach and develop assistant managers to complete weekly inventory in their area of responsibility.
- Reacts to customer comments, audits, safety problems, and inspections in an appropriate manner.
- Completes Weekly and Month-End reports in a timely manner
- Assist with restaurant operations and customer service as needed
- Ability to motivate and mentor a team of general managers and assistants.
- Review store environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and provide coaching to the store management team to take action and achieve operational goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Three to five years as an executive chef.
- Three to five years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience, preferred.
- Proven Restaurant Management experience
- Degree from Culinary Arts Program, College or Trade School strongly preferred
- Experience working with various POS and computer system
- Exceptional leadership skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Driven, hardworking, self-motivated individual

- Business hours (some nights, weekends may be required)
