Job Title: Vice President of Operations and Sustainability
Location: Operations across San Diego and Riverside Counties
Reports To: CEO, Sean Meer
Job Purpose:
The Vice President of Operations and Sustainability will lead our efforts to enhance operational efficiency and innovate eco-friendly initiatives across all service areas. This pivotal role will drive the strategic integration of sustainable practices within our daily operations, ensuring excellence in service delivery while adhering to our commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership and Efficiency:
- Oversee the operational structure of the company, continuously improving processes to maximize quality and minimize costs.
- Develop and enforce rigorous standards and controls that ensure superior service delivery aligned with company goals.
- Implement and optimize field service management software to enhance operational visibility and control.
Sustainability and Compliance:
- Lead the pursuit and maintenance of advanced cleaning and sustainability certifications.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring all operations exceed the statutory requirements.
- Evaluate and enhance sustainability initiatives, ensuring they effectively support the company's environmental objectives.
Team Management and Development:
- Mentor and build a team that embodies excellence, efficiency, and dedication to eco-friendly practices.
- Develop and execute training programs that elevate staff skills in best practices, new technologies, and compliance.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded through high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to secure the best products and services, aligning with the company’s sustainability goals.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement effective metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on operational performance and team productivity.
- Regularly report to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decisions and continuous improvements.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Technical and Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive understanding of cleaning techniques and environmental regulations, with a focus on sustainability.
- Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership qualities and excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring a diverse team and negotiating with various stakeholders.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Strong ability to plan and execute complex projects, with meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
- Financial and Analytical Acumen: Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and using data to drive operational decisions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently travel between sites, handle extended periods on-site during inspections, and occasionally engage in physical demonstrations of cleaning techniques.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires availability outside of traditional business hours and involves managing high-pressure situations. Regular travel between operational sites is necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Management, or Sustainability.
- Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience in operations management within the janitorial, environmental services, or a related industry.

Pay: $66,560.00 - $150,000.00 per year
