JOB PURPOSE / SUMMARY
The Cultivation Technician provides daily care of Cannabis plants from planting to harvest, and from harvest to drying and processing the plants for packaging. The Cultivation Technician will provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the plants from propagation to harvest which includes pruning, trimming, watering and providing nutrients. The Cultivation Technician will assist with harvesting the plants and processing the plants through the hanging, curing and packaging of the plants. Detailed recordkeeping and strict adherence to the company’s operating procedures and compliance with the state regulations is essential for this position.
Here at Richardson Remedies, we are known for providing quality cannabis products, a wide variety of merchandise, and dedicated staff members who genuinely care about our patient's needs. With our recent expansion, our customer base is continuing to develop, requiring additional Cultivation Technicians to join our team.
Prior cannabis education and experience are preferred, but not required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Daily care of cannabis plants, including watering, pruning and trimming, inspecting the plants.
· Fertilizing and providing nutrients to the plants according to cultivation protocols set forth by the Management Team.
· Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of growing issues or problems; treatment for disease or infestation.
· Ability to detect differences, recognize similarities, and categorize changes in cannabis plants of all stages, depending on events and circumstances
· Assist with de-leafing and harvesting of cannabis plants, including hanging, drying, and trimming the plants.
· Continuous systematic cleaning and sanitizing of grow facility and machinery; dispose of plant waste accordingly.
· Accurate tracking and recording of data during each phase of the cultivation process.
· Ensure the appropriate information is accurate and listed clearly in accordance with the state regulations and company standard operating procedures.
· Carefully follow directions as provided by the Management Team.
· Willingness to continue to learn best practices of cannabis cultivation with a strong interest in horticulture, agriculture and indoor operating systems.

INFORMATION RESOURCES
As a Cultivation Technician, you will be given resources that will intel the proper standard operating procedure (SOP) for specific jobs/tasks, as other resources that may need to be studied in order for advancement. You will be required to observe, receive, and obtain information from multiple resources.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
The Cultivation Technician position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of this job.
Regularly required to do the following activities:
· Extensive walking
· Standing for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift 30 to 40 pounds and carry a distance of one hundred feet
· Use hands and fingers, handle, and/or feel; the ability to pick, pinch with fingers, hold, grasp or turn with hands and perceive attributes of objects and materials such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips
· Maintain balance while walking, standing or crouching.
· Twist upper torso
· Reach up and out with hands and arms.
MENTAL EFFORT
Critical thinking and problem solving are major factors as a Cultivation Technician, or any position at Richard Remedies. Having the ability to objectively analyze information and draw rational conclusions. Being able to evaluate and prioritize duties/task effectively in a timely manner is required.
