Body Shop - Welder
Aluminum MIG/TIG welder, accustomed to assembling parts or units, be able to position, align and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies or frames using hand tools and power tools. Also, must be able to read and follow schematics or standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

Ability to weld using MIG and preferably TIG processes.

Read and follow standardized work instruction (VSOP)

Installing parts and joining them together using welding, riveting, adhesive, etc.

Troubleshooting, in the event of issues or problems related to the task at hand.

Understanding escalation processes and putting them to action.
-
Lean manufacturing and team interaction, within the department.

Use of power, pneumatic, and hand tools other than welding equipment (Ex: rivet nut tools, drills, grinders, files, sanders, impacts, etc.)

Perform routine maintenance (preventative maintenance), on equipment and welding machines.

Inspect vehicles for proper functioning, completion of work per defined schedule and check to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Inspect quality of materials and condition of equipment / machines or tools before start of work

Ability to work safely and responsibly in a potentially dangerous environment.
Required Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent education is preferred.

Must have external welding certifications (Ex: American Welding Society Cert.)

Must have at least 6 month of prior welding experience

Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015), as applicable.

Ability to sit or be stationary for brief periods of time.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, duration of the shift.

Ability to constantly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. and periodically 50 lbs.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing their job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend approximately 100% (excluding breaks and meal periods) of time in a manufacturing/ warehouse environment. When working in the facility, it requires the use of personal protective equipment, including (but not limited to) steel toe shoes, bump caps, and safety goggles. Reflective colored vest and ear protection is required in certain areas.

Compensation:
$30/per hour - $34/per hour. Compensation will vary DOE.
