TITLE: Mental Health Therapist

SALARY: $66,560 base + $1,500 Spanish-speaking add-on for qualified candidates

ABOUT PEI
Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) is a program designed to provide short-term mental health treatment in order to help individuals manage mild to moderate mental health difficulties, prevent these problems from getting worse, and enhance their quality of life.
Treatment consists of seven Evidence-Based Practices (EBP). These EBP are interventions that have been shown to be effective at reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Under the guidance of experienced, engaged leadership, the Mental Health Therapist (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) will utilize independent judgment and expertise to provide mental health services that include psycho-diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, rehabilitative and case management services.
The therapist will work collaboratively with various systems (ex.: DCFS, DMH, hospitals, etc) and provide multiple intervention techniques and EBPs to populations served. Populations served are children, adolescents, adults, older adults as needed by program and agency.
Lastly, the therapist will use excellent time-management and organizational skills to maintain thorough required records of all counseling sessions and client contact, as well as complete all outcome measures, in accordance with DMH and Amanecer standards.
MUST HAVE MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master’s degree in social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field.
2. AMFT, ACSW, APCC and be in good standing with the BBS.
3. CA Driver License.
4. Spanish Speaking highly preferred (Non-Spanish speaking candidates welcome to apply!)
5. Hybrid position – must be able to provide telehealth and in-person appointments during office hours. Our office is located on 1200 Wilshire Blvd (2 office days minimum required.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Experience providing therapy and other mental health services to children and families and/or adults.
2. Experience working with multiethnic, diverse communities, preferably in both Spanish and English.
3. Experience working in a community-based organization.
4. Excellent time-management and communication skills in order to work collaboratively and independently. Enthusiasm for being part of a team and modeling positive accountability towards self, teammates, leadership and clients.
5. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for record-keeping and service delivery standards.
NICE TO HAVES (but will train):
1. Working knowledge of EXYM.
2. Experience with DMH.
3. Understanding of/certifications in Evidence-Based Practices.

Pay: $66,560.00 - $68,060.00 per year
