```Duties```
- Must be able to problem solve and communicate effectively with colleagues, other professionals and parents
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate, write comprehensive reports and plan of care quickly, initiate treatment of many types of diagnoses / disorders
- Be open to weekly mentoring for the first year of employment
- Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their functional abilities and achieve their goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Feeding Therapy experience a bonus but not required - we do help infants through about 14 years of age with sensory based feeding disorders and work closely with the SLP's who focus on the motor portion of feeding.
```Experience```
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in a clinical setting
- Excitement to work with diverse patient population
- Desire to learn about speech and physical therapy and nutrition for internal referrals
- Ability to provide excellent patient service and deliver compassionate care
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology to guide treatment planning
