Position Title: INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES MANAGER

Position Summary: The Infrastructure and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the organization's physical infrastructure and facilities with a specific focus on data centers design and industrial building design tailored to heavy equipment servicing and repair. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and ensuring that VoltaGrid developments meet customer requirements, facilities meet safety, security, and operational standards. The Infrastructure and Facilities Manager also supervises a team of maintenance staff and coordinates with external contractors and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective management and utilization of the organization's current and future infrastructure and facilities.
- Prepare and manage budgets for infrastructure projects, maintenance, and operational expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Negotiate contracts, evaluate bids, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate activities, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of milestones and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders. Generate reports and documentation as required by company policies and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and repair of facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components. Develop preventive maintenance schedules and oversee the execution of maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that facilities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Optimize the use of space within facilities to support the organization's operational needs. Coordinate office layouts, relocations, and renovations as required.
- Implement security measures to protect facilities, equipment, and personnel. Manage access control systems, surveillance systems, and security personnel.
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, oversee service delivery, and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for facilities, including procedures for evacuations, fire safety, and disaster recovery.
- Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of facilities operations. Implement energy-saving initiatives, waste reduction programs, and sustainable practices.
- Supervise a team of maintenance staff, including technicians, custodians, and other personnel. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in facilities management, infrastructure development, or related field, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and construction methods. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with facilities management software and tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
