Chavez Buick GMC is looking for an experienced GM Master Certified Technician for immediate hire. We are looking for someone who is customer focused, a team player, and has a strong work ethic.Starting Salary of $150K per year.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Perform work specified on the repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and Volvo standards.
- Participate in manufacturing training programs, keeping informed of changes in technology and processes.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual a plus!
- 3+ years of years prior automotive diagnostic, repair experience required.
- ASE certifications are required.
- Strong automotive background.
- A strong focus on Customer Service.
- A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Possess a valid in-state driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and transmission failures
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate estimates for repairs
- Perform tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairing tires
- Repair and replace various vehicle components, such as powertrain systems, shocks and struts, and exhaust systems
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Assemble and disassemble vehicles for repair or maintenance purposes
- Conduct equipment repairs to ensure proper functionality

- Proficiency in using hand tools and automotive diagnostic equipment
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating techniques
- Experience with tire service, including mounting, balancing, and repairing tires
- Familiarity with powertrain systems and the ability to diagnose and repair related issues
- Welding skills for metal fabrication and repair work
- Knowledge of GM vehicles is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex vehicle issues accurately
