Northwest Industrial Supply Company is a retail industrial supply company specializing in customer service and customer satisfaction. Our goal is to supply the correct industrial, concrete, hand, metal fabrication, and safety products, tools, and supplies for our customers. We are a western North Dakota industrial supply warehouse also providing construction supplies and masonry products.
Our customer base is located in the western two thirds of North Dakota, including Bismarck and the Mandan area, the power plants and coal mines of central North Dakota, including the cities of Beulah, Hazen, Washburn, Center and Stanton. We also serve the oil fields of North Dakota, such as the Williston Basin and Baken Oil Field, including the cities of Dickinson, Williston, Minot and Watford City.

Job Responsibilities:
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customer’s daily
- Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory
- Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs
- Recommend improvements to boost performance of sales
- Other duties as assigned
Nature and Scope:
Authority necessary to perform duties of this position, but will refer complex, unusual problems to supervisor. Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.
Standards of Performance:
Self-directed/motivated, courteous, and neat in appearance, as well as a friendly and positive attitude toward co-workers and customers. Able to comply with company policies and procedures. Demonstrates and displays teamwork through cooperation with others. At work and on time per company schedule.
Job Requirements:
- Prior sales experience preferred
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management preferred
- Must have basic computer skills
- Clean Driving Record
- Local travel
- Knowledge of local general contractors highly desired
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- High School education or GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
Salary: $25k - $30k annual + commission
