We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager to oversee our retail operations Red Door Liquors store located at The Needles Country Square. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for several duties, including sales, customer service, staff hiring and training, inventory control, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in liquor retail management and possess excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Assist the Store Manager in developing develop and implement strategies to drive store sales and achieve targets.
- - Manage and motivate retail associates to deliver exceptional customer service. -Merchandising including procurement of appropriate, racking, displays, website, etc. -Assure the store is operating in compliance with the latest state alcohol sales legislation
- Ensure the store is properly stocked and merchandised to maximize sales opportunities
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to minimize shrinkage
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies
- Train and develop staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment that meets company standards
- Oversee cash register operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciliation
- Proven experience as a Manager or similar role in liquor retail operations
- Knowledge of budgeting, pricing, and retail math principles
- Proficient in using cash registers and POS systems - Strong desire to share your passion for wine, beer, and spirits with others.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Understanding of market trends and customer preferences
- Ability to effectively interview, hire, train, and manage staff
- Experience with payroll management and scheduling
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
