J & J Snack Foods is committed to employing and retaining talented and energetic employees that are passionate about what they do! We are currently seeking an experienced HR Assistant at our Pennsauken, NJ Facility.
The ideal candidate will assist Human Resource Management with the development and enforcement of Human Resources procedures and policies.
This position is ON-SITE.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Facilitates Union and Non-Union Recruitment
- Assists with New Hire Orientations. Coordinates hire needs and start date with Department leaders.
- Maintains and manages active and terminated employee files/records, benefit files, and FMLA records including filing and electronic.
- Audit all New Hire files and paperwork for accuracy and completion.
- Assist with biweekly payroll process, adjustment, and review
- Process and track Time Off requests (Vacation, sick and personal)
- Maintain disciplinary tracking process.
- Respond to employment verification and payroll related inquiries.
- Assist Employees with Benefit changes/inquiries.
- Filing and answering phones
- On-Site Position
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years in a recruiting/human resources role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work well with others as well as independently
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Reliabletransportation
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and UltiPro a plus
