Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Skilled in performing the 12 core functions
1. Screening
2. Intake
3. Orientation
4. Assessment
5. Treatment Planning
6. Group and individual counseling
7. Case management
8. Crisis intervention
9. Client education
10. Referral
11. Reports and record keeping
12. Consultations with other professionals regarding client treatment and services
· Knowledge of Minnesota Matrix Six Dimensions and ASAM Criteria
· Coordinate with the Utilization Coordinator to assist clients in maintaining county or 3rdparty payer mechanisms and for communicating clinical criteria to payers for appropriate services
· Maintain professional license
· Counselor may admit, transfer, or discharge clients other than At Staff Request (ASR). Counselor may be directed to follow through with the process of discharging client ASR by the Treatment Director or Clinical Supervisor.
· Creating and maintaining client records in accordance with Minnesota Statute 245G.
· Is knowledgeable of and adheres to all internal protocols.
· Attend all staff in-services and meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
