Essential Duties:

Provides assistance to residents with all activities of daily living in a manner that is conducive to and supportive of resident and employee safety and infection control practices, and of residents’ rights.

Perform medication administration with accuracy and correctly document administration of medications. Ordering and inventory of medications as directed.

Answers request for assistance promptly and follows up with resident needs, and/or reports problems encountered to the Delegating Nursing or Assisted Living Manager (ALM).

Assures resident room is prepared to receive new resident, including, but not limited to making bed, appropriate personal items available, etc.

Assures resident bed linens are changed as necessary, and that residents’ personal belongings are cared for.

Promptly retrieves and stores residents’ laundered clothing, assuring closets, bedside tables and dressers are maintained in a neat and sanitary manner.

Assures residents are provided with clean eyeglasses, working hearing aides, etc., as appropriate. Informs appropriate personnel of any missing or broken personal items.

Conducts recreational activities for residents, in both individual and group settings as established by the Delegating Nursing or ALM.

Monitors and assists residents at meal times.
Other Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

In Memory Care, prepare and serve meals as assigned.

Positon Specifications: (must meet requirements for employment)
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Three months previous experience in assisted living setting preferred.

An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in the following range: up to 50 pounds.

The essential sensory and communicative activities include seeing, speaking, hearing, and feeling.

Subject to indoor environmental conditions; with exposure to virus, disease and infection from residents.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a healthcare setting. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses.
