Job Summary:
This position will work as part of the Human Resources Department and would be dedicated to supporting the companies most valuable assets, the employees. This role will be responsible for all HR functionality for employees at multiple locations and escalating inquiries to HR management as needed. This role builds trusted, collaborative relationships across the entire organization to ensure the effectiveness of HR and a culture of positive employee relations to drive a best-in-class culture and the employee experience.
Responsibilities:
· Acts as point of contact for all HR needs for employees
· Onboard new hires into the HRIS system (and complete new hire checklist tasks)
· Offboard separated employees in HRIS system (and complete separation checklist tasks)
· Answers employee questions about HR policies and directs any escalated inquiries to senior-level HR staff or management
· Performs periodic audits of employee HR files and records to make sure all required documentation is present and up to date
· Direct employees to appropriate contacts for qualifying event/benefits changes, FMLA leave or Worker’s Compensation claims
· Inform employees of changes to benefits offerings during annual open enrollment
· Assist employees in completing benefits enrollment in the system
· Consults with managers and supervisors regarding employee discipline and performance issues. Investigates workplace situations, including claims of harassment, discrimination, and policy violations. Supports decision making related to terminations and other forms of discipline. Ensures that corrective coaching and counseling are handled in a fair and consistent manner.
· Attends a variety of special project, operational and HR staff meetings.
· Assist with projects and other duties as requested or assigned
Required Qualifications, Basic Skills and Abilities
· Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years Human Resources experience in a fast-paced HR environment.
· SHRM or HRCI Certification highly desired.
· Experience with employee relations, support, and on-the-job coaching program
· Advanced technical skills, including but not limited to expert level Word, Excel and PowerPoint, prior experience with HRIS systems required
· Excellent ability to work under pressure, deal with demanding deadlines
· Strong detail orientation
· Experience conducting full-cycle employee investigations
This is a field position with time divided between several sites
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
