CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY
Tennis Attendants are responsible for supporting the coordination and delivery of tennis-related services to all program participants. Employees primary function will be to provide all manner of assistance to ensure tennis programs and activities are operated safely and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Monitors participants’ actions and activities in accordance with established timeframes and guidelines, safety policies and procedures, and operating requirements.
· Responds to inquiries regarding program specifics from various entities; e.g., parents, program participants, the general public and staff.
· Develops public participation and interest in tennis programs through positive promotion.
· Opens and closes tennis facility according to established events and program schedules which include checking in registered participants and guests to the facility and organizing and maintaining records of attendance/participation.
· Performs day-to-day operational, custodial and maintenance tasks to ensure facilities and grounds are clean and secure and equipment is safe to operate.
· Prepares accurate reports as needed and organizes and maintains activity/program records.
· Creates promotional materials for special events utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms and other electronic outlets.
· Utilizes RecTrac for fees and other operational functions, transactions and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma/GED.
· Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
· Firsthand experience working with youth or adults in tennis and related activities.
· Knowledge of principles, practices and philosophy of municipal tennis.
· First Aid/CPR certification preferred with the ability to obtain certification within the first 90 days of hire.
· Technical proficiency with recreational management systems and databases; e.g., RecTrac.
· Ability to work outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as directed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary-related work and may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 15 pounds).
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed under normal retail shop conditions with regular exposure to outdoor elements and adverse environmental factors.
