The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WWRCC) is currently seeking a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.
The IT technician will be responsible for providing immediate technical support for remote and onsite users. The technician will work closely with the help desk to resolve any low-level IT items and answer any phone or email requests. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting any projector, video conferencing solution or tv technology items to resolve presentation issues. The technician will responsible for understating remote office locations technology and serve as a local resource for remote offices.
We are looking for a candidate with at least five years of experience with the following:
- Extensive knowledge of PowerShell and command line scripting to automate daily tasks.
- Windows Operating System Support Windows 10 and Windows 11 Pro.
- Server 2019 & 2022 Administration and support (DHCP, DNS, GPO).
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues.
- Understanding cloud infrastructures (Google Apps, Office 365, AWS).
- End-user support of level 2 and 3 items.
- Understanding of network printers, mobile, and other peripheral devices.
- Worked with vendors to resolve items.
- Help Desk support.
- Provided end-user remote support.
- VOIP and telephone infrastructures.
- Understanding of VPN technologies.
- Knowledge of content filters, firewalls, and anti-malware technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Field incoming help requests from end users via telephone, e-mail, and service portal.
- Provide in-depth phone, remote & deskside technical support.
- Work with vendors to resolve issues.
- Open and close support requests.
- Documentation of network and technology items.
- Provide end-user communication.
- Effectively escalate issues to upper IT Personnel.
- Ability to drive to remote offices.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining organization phone inventory and extensions.
- Responsible for procuring technology items.
- Ship and receive technology items from vendors and remote users.
- Manage and maintain software licenses.
- Archive IT documentation.
- Troubleshoot all kinds of technology items (Projectors, Entertainment devices, TVs, Interactive devices, and others).
- Replace internal hardware for laptops and desktops.
- Work with vendors to get equipment exchanged or replaced.
- Mentor staff with proper IT Tools and procedures.
- Patch and run new cat6 cabling for special projects.
- Drive to remote offices to provide technical support.
- Provide VOIP phone support and work with vendors to provide resolution.
- Participate on an 24/7 on call rotation.
- Remote travel is required up to 50%
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Comptia A+, Server, Security
- Cisco CCENT, CCNA
- Microsoft MCP, MCT, MCSA, MCSE
