Saint Joseph Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting for a full time Pediatric Endocrinologist to join an existing team of 3 Endocrinologist in our busy clinical practice of a culturally and clinically diverse population.
Join this collegial group of established endocrinologists and staff members. This full-time position is based in Paterson and includes work in the Children’s Hospital along with outpatient clinics in Wayne, Paterson and Rochelle Park. The practices operate 5 days per week, with rotation to all three locations each week. Call rotation is 1:3. The incoming Pediatric endocrinologist will work a full time schedule and assume a patient panel from our retiring endocrinologist.
This opportunity includes a strong referral network from area pediatric and family medicine providers, a diverse mix of cases, opportunities for clinical research, the prospect of mentoring medical students and residents, and the potential for an academic appointment with Rowan School of Medicine and St. George’s University School of Medicine.
Our Inpatient and Outpatient service treats children and young adults (birth through 21 years of age) and works with their families to diagnose and manage a full range of endocrinology conditions, such as:
- Diabetes
- Growth Disorders including Growth Hormone Deficiency
- Disorders of bone and mineral metabolism including Osteogenesis Imperfecta
- Pubertal Disorders
- Hypoglycemia
- Thyroid Diseases
- Adrenal Diseases
- Pituitary Diseases
- Turner Syndrome
- Disorders of Sex Development
In addition, we help to staff several multidisciplinary clinics such as Prader Willi clinic, Turner syndrome clinic, Cystic fibrosis clinic. There is also an opportunity to get involved in New Jersey’s diabetes camp.

The Candidate
Qualified candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatric Endocrinology. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in New Jersey, and eligible to work in the US. In addition to skills in clinical pediatric endocrinology and diabetes, the group is looking for candidates that can advance the endocrine care for all the children in northern New Jersey by working on areas of interest and collaborating with other subspecialties to provide efficient, cost-effective and seamless care for children with different pediatric endocrine disease entities.
