The Accounts Payable Representative seeks to bring value to our customers by ensuring that payables are competently and promptly processed so that materials and services flow seamlessly from the vendor to the customer and that direct invoices reach customers accurately and promptly. The Accounts Payable Representative also protects company assets by ensuring all invoices are received and processed, by questioning unusual expenses before payment, and then by verifying and reconciling invoices.
DUTIES
1. Reviews and processes invoices to assigned vendors and other creditors related to inventory/product purchases, and overhead expenses, ensuring that all invoices received by the monthly cut-off date are processed within that month.
2. Resolves pricing and quantity discrepancies on time by working with sales, purchasing, and receiving team members to ensure that outstanding issues are documented and resolved by month-end if feasible.
3. Corresponds directly with vendors to resolve outstanding statement balances promptly protecting the company’s financial reputation and credit status.
4. Maintains organized and complete files of payables and processed payments.
5. Perform other accounting-related tasks and projects as assigned by the Supervisor.
6. Remain current on all required training as mandated by Gordon Electric Supply.
7. Uphold the Core Values of Gordon Electric Supply.
QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with office equipment, including computers, multi-line phones, fax machines, and photocopiers required.
Education, Experience, Credentials
· High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
· 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
· Experience with ERP systems in a fast-paced environment.
· Very comfortable with Microsoft Suite products, specifically Excel.
· Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
