Spectrum for Living, a New Jersey not-for-profit organization, helps adults with developmental disabilities attain their maximum potential by providing quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for a disabled loved one.
The Lifeguard is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and safety supervision of residents during pool activities.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous and active scanning of the pool.
- Know and understand the Emergency Action Plan
- Enforce all facility safety rules and regulations
- Keep all lifeguard, lifesaving and first aid equipment in good repair and available for proper use.
- Determines appropriate actions necessary to ensure life safety (i.e. staff attendance, floatation devices, etc.)
- Reports to charge supervisor in determination regarding opening of pool during questionable weather conditions. In event pool is closed, serves as resource staff to recreational activities
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Current Lifeguard certification
- Current Basic Life Support and First Aid
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Full-time
Pay: $19.75 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
