Job description - 2nd Shift
The McCall Farms Supply Chain team is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of purchasing, warehouse, distribution, and logistics solutions. They manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy, stocking strategies, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction. They measure and report on the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations. As part of the Supply Chain team, the Supervisor I for DC Shipping will supervise a team of hourly associates, primarily on one shift, responsible for the picking, staging, and loading of all customer orders safely and accurately. Duties also include completing monthly safety training, reviewing picking, and loading transactions for accuracy, maintain a clean and safe work environment, continuous improvement projects, etc.
Safety:
The Supervisor I- DC Shipping is fully responsible for safety, implementing policies/procedures and upholding company policies. The supervisor will also be training and developing subordinates. While following all safety policies, this means:

Be cautious while walking in and around the warehouse due to the high volume of forklift traffic.

Ensure all staff members follow all safety policies.

Maintain a clean working environment.

Track Monthly Safety Training

Monitor all employees to ensure that bump caps/hard hats and safety vests are clean and worn by all who enter.
All Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Policies must always be followed while on McCall Farms property. Any unsafe conditions or acts are required to be reported to Management.

Must be able to work flexible hours may include Saturdays and Sundays, Night or Day.

Focus will be on 2nd shift with overtime required.

Minimum 1-2 years in a Manufacturing/Distribution environment with Supervisor experience.

Lift 20-lbs to 40-lbs (a two-man lift is suggested for anything over this amount).

Stand and Sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to adapt to changes that will better themselves and the company.

Possess and demonstrate good, detailed communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal.

Present and maintain positive work ethics.

Provide good attendance in accordance with the Attendance and Punctuality Policy.

Excellent Documentation Skills.

Possess business computer literacy skills (word, spreadsheets, database software) with strong. Emphasis in Excel, MRP, ERP (Sage), and Mobe3 WMS.

High level of attention to detail.

Review reports and other documentation for accuracy and logic.

Solid understanding of the manufacturing processes to assist in the root cause assessment of issues or the correction of those issues in the realm of processing rework.
