Cardiovascular Technologist
The cath lab cardiovascular technologist, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies; ensures safe patient care; and works as a scrub assistant.
This is a contract, 13-week seasonal opportunity.
Pay: $65/hour
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts

Job Opening QualificationsEducation
- Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology or respiratory therapy
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Any of the following is required in lieu of the required education:
- Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, or
- Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, or
- 5 years of electrophysiology or interventional radiology experience
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification (preferred)
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification (preferred)
- BLS
- ACLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.

There are 3 catheterization labs at UF Health's Leesburg Hospital and 1 electrophysiology lab. The ideal cardiovascular tech candidate is passionate about elevating their clinical skill set. The director is a servant-leader with 30 years of UF Health Leesburg experience and is dedicated to the success of her team and the people of her community.
