Commonwealth Vein Center is looking for a passionate and experienced Echo or Vascular Ultrasound Tech who is RVT/RVS/RCS certified. The tech we are looking for must have experience in Arterial and Venous Ultrasounds. They must be able to perform a full range of vascular exams including venous insufficiency, carotid, lower extremity arterial, abdominal aorta duplex, and ankle brachial index.
- 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday ( WILL CONSIDER PART-TIME APPLICANTS)
- NO ON CALL HOURS REQUIRED.
- NO WEEKENDS REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sonographer must perform vascular studies under the direction of the physician. Communicate results of diagnostic examinations to the interpreting physician.
- Competently operate ultrasound equipment to perform vascular studies.
- Accurately identify pathologic findings.
- Review patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, Obtain necessary clinical information from patients.
- Complete preliminary reports in a timely manner.
- Accurately identify and label images to identify patient name, date of birth, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies.
- Include necessary billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate patient charges.
Qualifications:
- Current Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Vascular Specialist (RVS) registration issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) .
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Competency in vascular sonographic procedures routinely performed.
- Ability to use independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Knowledge of proper ultrasound equipment usage.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and coworkers using excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of and adherence to department, facility and organization policies and protocols.
- Ability to prioritize
