POSITION OVERVIEW
The position of psychotherapist interacts daily with adolescent males and females in a residential setting, the entire treatment team, and support personnel (direct care, nursing, doctors, administration, administrative support, etc.). Family involvement is a crucial component to this program, which requires regular involvement with the families of our clients. Caseload consists of individuals, families, groups. This position also acts as part of the utilization review team and regularly interacts with insurance care managers.

- Treatment planning and treatment plan reviews

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PSYCHOTHERAPIST?
- Clinical license in good standing with corresponding Texas board or working towards full licensure (LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT-A, LMFT).
- Clinical experience working with adolescents and families with substance abuse, trauma, emotional, and/or behavioral problems.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industries. This position requires excellent communication skills, patience, understanding, and flexibility. Candidates who have been previously successful in this position had personality traits associated with being energetic, organized, and initiative-taking.
- Schedule flexibility to work early evenings depending on availability of families for family therapy case assignments.
- Drug free
- Experience as a clinician with a desire to further develop clinical skill and learn new modalities.
- Criminal history free (FBI fingerprint background check required).
- Work 5-6 weekends a year (either a Saturday or a Sunday). Comp days earned.
- Work either Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Day and some holidays. Comp days earned.
- Eligible for comp days after 90 day probation period.
WHAT ARE THE PREFERENCES FOR PSYCHOTHERAPIST?
- English speaking. Bilingual is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a clinical role.
- Previous experience as a therapist working with adolescents and families.
