Position Summary
This position will support the governance and management of Finance master and reference data, and provide well thought-out analyses, and recommendations on complex or ambiguous data challenges. This position works cross functionally with data domain owners and stewards in the execution of their data related responsibilities. This position requires familiarity with data strategy, and data management, as well as with business finance and accounting functions in order to provide support for projects, programs, and operations.
This role will also provide support at a global level. As a key member of the Finance Data Management Center of Excellence (COE), this position leads and/or participates in testing, implementation and on-going management of data related systems and capabilities such as data change pre-approval process, Stibo STEP Mapping/X-Reference, issue management, error handling, testing error resolution, etc. In addition, this position will support ongoing data governance and stewardship operations, to include definition and implementation of policy and procedures, analyzing data issues, monitoring data quality, assisting in cataloging data elements, defining business terms, etc.
Contributions this role provides influence the team’s effectiveness toward the solutioning, overall planning, scheduling, and deliverables of the function. Effective internal and external interactions, secured through strong influencing skills, are an important link in the communication chain of the business unit and contribute to the effective implementation of major projects and/or functional initiatives. Thinking is directed towards clearly defined objectives but requires solutions that build on industry and disciplinary best practice in order to improve current practice or result in the direct development of new procedures.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and executing broad reaching data management policies and procedures.
- Leads education and training related to data management policies and procedures to business partners, data stewards and end users.
- Supports data related system implementation and management of data related systems, providing creative and innovative solutions to problems that arise.
- Executes hands-on data management related reporting environment tasks, including data source monitoring, security, and metadata ensuring data integrity.
- Applies expertise and core competencies gathered from major projects and functional experience to solve problems for data quality programs through error detection and correction, process improvements and/or process design strategies.
- Supports process improvement and on-going execution of key global processes such as the master data change process, including creation, updates and deletions and replications of Finance master data.
- Supports process improvement and on-going execution of end-to-end data issue management process that includes the identification, tracking and management of critical data issues.
Key Skills
- Understanding of finance and accounting terminology and processes
- Experience in finance, GL accounting, AR/collections, AP and/or procurement background helpful
- Understanding of data governance and data management disciplines, practices and processes
- Possesses knowledge in formal data modeling and management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with reporting and analytic tools (e.g., Business Objects, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Familiarity with legacy and modern data integration tools and methods (e.g., DataStage, Informatica, MuleSoft, Kafka, etc.)
- Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Experience developing and using solutions in Microsoft O365 automation / collaboration suite a plus (e.g., SharePoint, PowerApps, Flows, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3+ years relevant experience in data governance, business data management, finance/accounting, IT devops, or operational data roles
- BA/BS degree in business, IT, STEM, or other related discipline

Pay: $70,089.35 - $105,306.16 per year
