The primary role of the Diesel Technician is to perform routine maintenance on the company’s diesel fleet. Commitment to safety, strong work ethic and a positive attitude are key components of this position. The pay range for this position is 18.00-26.00 per hour based on experience.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnosis/Replacement/Repair of:
- Diesel engine external and internal components
- Diesel engine external drive train components and systems
- Electrical systems, starting and charging components
- Diesel engine air intake and exhaust system
- Air brake system and components
- Vehicle HVAC and components
- Vehicle air and spring suspension components systems
- Vehicle steering components and systems
- Transmissions and clutches
Compensation:
- $18-$26 per hour based on qualifications and experience
- $2000 SIGN ON BONUS – limited time offer

Physical requirements
- Regularly required to stand, handle material up to 70 lbs., feel and reach for various items in tight locations
- Occasionally required to talk and hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Work environment—outdoor and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation & heat
- Regularly working near moving mechanical parts; with some vibration and loud noise level
- Occasionally working in (non-weather) wet or humid conditions; in (non-weather) extreme heat or cold; in high, precarious places; with fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals; in outdoor weather conditions
Qualifications
- Experience working on and around diesel or gasoline engines – Preferably Freightliners
- Will need to provide own basic hand tools, larger shop tools will be company provided
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to work
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to read and write English
- FHWA Certification preferred, but will train and pay for certification
