The American Association for Respiratory Care, located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, is searching for an enthusiastic, member-centric, team-oriented customer care professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional customer care and responding efficiently to customer inquiries.
Day to day, this position provides members and customers with product/services information, answers questions and resolves any issues that customers face with accuracy, courtesy and efficiency. The Customer Care Representative is patient, kind, focused, empathetic, and communicative. They are able to troubleshoot, analyze information, manage their time effectively and multi-task. They investigate issues if they don’t have enough information to answer customer questions or resolve complaints and work with other internal stakeholders to ensure that organizational member needs are being met. Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance (must have private car)
- Ability to work full time and live in Irving, TX
- COVID –19 Vaccination / approved exemption status
Responsibilities:
- Serve customers and members by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems. Clarifying the customer's or member's complaint, deterring the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem and following up to ensure resolution.
- Provide solutions that fit individualized situations and prioritize members’ and customers' needs at each step of the process.
- Attract potential members by answering questions about the organization, including product and service questions, and providing information about other (related) products and services.
- Create and maintain member and customer accounts in the Protech database.
- Enter (and update as needed) member applications and renewal forms into the database, including group memberships.
- Process special offers and discounts.
- Through internal training, become knowledgeable in all aspects of AARC operations, including new programs and products as they are developed.
- Assist with AARC Meetings/Events by processing registrations, facilitating refunds and cancellations.
- Learn all ecommerce functions on our website and help members find online resources.
- Assist members with completing online purchases, exams or registrations.
- Provide support to keep student and faculty information up to date. Process questions and applications from faculty,
- Help to validate APEX member applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or relevant business experience
Required Length and Type of Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to express yourself in an articulate manner in all situations, including problem resolution (experience communicating with customers preferred)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft365, including Word, Excel, and other software
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly and respond appropriately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills
- Positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail are essential
- Experience in customer care or a help desk environment
- Must be goal-oriented and a success-driven team player
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods of time
- May require the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Dexterity to perform computerized functions
- Some travel may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
